Biography |
Each created artwork
achieves its own narrative through the use of strong composition and
design. Exploring the principals of transition and symmetry, the
juxtaposition of both realistic and abstract elements assists the viewer
in “reading’ the visual narratives (paintings). These pieces may include
words, writing or poetry adding literary poignancy to the piece. The
poetry may be composed of work by Emily Dickinson, William Wordsworth or
Elaine’s very own written verse. Her hand-tooled metal panels add yet
another aesthetic texture, for example, in the paintings ‘Love’s
Emblems’, ‘Summer Afternoon’, ‘Rose is a Rose is a Rose…’, ‘Toolip
Go-Between’ and ‘Rose’.
